Juventus midfielder Bles Matthew received support from UNESCO and the French sports minister for racist insults on the player last weekend. UNESCO`s Executive Director Audrey Azullay and France`s Sports Minister Laura Flesel have condemned the racist events of Matthew`s raid during a working session. UNESCO and Juventus have been working together since 2014, often having initiatives to combat racism.
Matthew was insulted during the match via soccer predictions against Cagliari last Saturday, won by Juve with 1:0. This happened two days after the French national got insults on a racist basis in Verona, where Juventus won 3-1 against the team of the same name and Matthew scored one of the goals.
