Football fans, celebrating Morocco`s rally for World Cup 2018 in Russia, caused riots last night in the center of Brussels. 22 policemen have suffered slightly in an attempt to appease supporters. Uniforms were forced to use water cannons to disperse the crowd of about 300 people. Several stores have been broken and robbed, material damage to parked cars, and a car has been set on fire. Social media videos showed police blocking fans on the way to the square in front of the Brussels Stock Exchange, a traditional place to celebrate sporting wins. The Belgian capital is home to many inhabitants of Moroccan descent.

The Africans qualified for World Cup 2018 after yesterday defeated Cote d`Ivoire as guests in Abidjan by 2: 0. Moroccan fans also celebrated the Champs-Elysees in Paris, but no riot was reached. Hundreds of thousands rejoiced in the streets of Rabat, Tangier, Fez, Marrakech and other cities in Morocco. After the match, King Mohamed Six personally congratulated the national team for the `huge achievement`. He spoke by phone with coach Herve Renar and Captain Mehdi Benatija. For the last time, Morocco participated in the finals of the 1998 World Cup in France.
