The Football Association of England is open to the idea of publishing audio recordings of communication between the referees during the Premier League and FA Cup matches. The idea is for these recordings to be announced after the end of the matches, in order to give greater clarity to the spectators about the way and arguments in making the respective decisions. To this end, the governing body of English football must first reach an agreement with the Association of Professional Referees. Currently, the rules are such that the respective federations are not allowed to broadcast the sound of the communication between the Chief Judge and the people in charge of the VAR in real time. However, there are no restrictions on the recording of these conversations being broadcast on television after the end of the matches. The Board of the International Football Association (IFAB), which is authorized to make changes to the rules of the game, said some time ago that it would be useful for spectators to hear the communication between the referees, but postponed the decision on this issue, asas additional analyzes are needed.
